Chari took music lessons in the early 1980's. Because of poorly taught music studies she thought she couldn't play. However music had a huge impact on her early life. She was often found up front at shows dancing and tapping her keys. One late night after a gig, musicians gathered and she was handed a washboard. Turns out, she has rhythm! She is an original founding member of the Serenaders, and has a love of anything with an old time feel.

Her first band was Absinthe Rose, a feminist folk punk group formed in 2006. Chari has performed in numerous bands on the west coast including Intuitive Compass, Jason Dea West, and Poor Boys Soul, to name a few. 

Lawrence Newcomb began playing clarinet when he was 10, but took a 2 decade break in his early 20's. Resuming his studies, he added multiple saxophones and delved into New Orleans style jazz. He has played in several orchestras as well as big band and world music in the Rogue Valley along with Bathtub Gin Serenaders.

Adam Gill started playing bass nearly thirty years ago. For most of this time he played a sideways sort of bass but in 2020 he accidentally moved to Oregon and started playing the more upright type of bass. When he isn't doing that he likes hiking and camping with his wife and playing board games.
